The colder days are coming—meaning it’s time to move the cooking inside and fix some “stick to the ribs” meals. What a better way to start things off with than some new pans, courtesy of Mom’s Xmas present. Something a little different for me—cast iron (ci) and carbon steel (cs). The ci is a 10” inch from Stargazer. The cs 7.5” and griddle from Solidteknics.
All the pans came pre-seasoned, but it was recommended to do some additional seasoning before using. After successful seasoning they all performed well with various meals of breakfast skillets, cornbread, pan pizza, Chicago style pizza, many eggs and bacon, egg mcmuffins, and grilled sandwiches.
Cleaning is easy with just warm water. I think I will enjoy these for a long time. Thanks Mom.
